Some memories have timid souls
and need to be protected so
they hide high in the mountains
beneath the waters of the lake
clear and cold and blue
hoping you will find them one day
when you come with your canoes
and kayaks and plans for great adventure
But only after you are exhausted
your body tired
your mind drowsy
and it is safe
late in the afternoon
when the wind is calm
and the waters still
and you are brave
may they chance to share their whispers

Wonderful. It makes me deeply curious about the memories of which you speak.
Nothing specific, but a steady stream in the days ensuing. This a little poetic license triggered by our trip and the lake.
